Something to look at!

I think it's going to be a little while until I put together something worth reading so I've uploaded a couple of photos that I'm not too embarrassed about.
Personally I don't edit my photos with software, even though they could benefit from some tweaking. I like the feeling of capturing what's there. The only adjustments are done in-camera and are either just cropping or the fancy art settings.

The first two were taken on Cemetery Road in Sheffield, on a cold and snowy day, it's one of my favourite places and just round the corner from where I live.

Most of my photos are technically poor but I try to get some kind of feeling or quality that makes them jump out and catch the eye.

I love the Gothic feeling in this but have to admit it was by happy accident. Most of my best photos happen that way, I'd like to work on my composition skills but would prefer to allow the camera to handle the technical stuff!
Man with camera, not a photographer!

These were taken near Edale village, love the empty harshness of the Peak District but it's too busy in the summer. In winter I enjoy the sensation of having it all to myself. Apart from the sheep but they don't seem to mind sharing it.

Sometimes I feel the images are out there waiting, I just happen to be passing and catch them by accident. Or they choose me!
